The first day back from a 4 day trip to the lake district seemed the right time to push my run out beyond 6 miles for the first time this year,
it wasn't timed, but I must have managed just over 8 miles in round about an hour or so. The next step for me is to get this 8 miles down to around 55 minutes then I can look to increase the distance again once I have a good base at around the 8 mile mark. This is what I am going to work towards for the next couple of weeks, I ran quite comfortably today so I think it is achievable. Besides a bit of aching towards the end (due to my trainers I think) the only other events to note are that I was attacked by 2 dogs and 1 cow.. Great start!
